Maynards Rider Development Team Mission Statement

Rick & Jen Maynard would like to give back to the Equestrian Community as a thank you for its support of Maynard's Tack Shops and Stables (since 1952!) Through the Developing Rider Program Maynard's will actively encourage and promote riders at the grass roots level to strive for excellence. Every Big Name rider started as an unknown beginnerand without doubt had incredible support from family and friends. We hope that the next generation of Big Names will count Maynard's amongst their valued supporters!

Q. Who is eligible?

A. Every amateur 14 years and up who rides and competes regularly in Jumping, Hunter, Dressage or 3-Day Eventing.

Q. Will Maynard's help with training fees?

A. Yes. Maynard's will give a scholarship for a maximum of $200.00 worth of lessons per year, with a trainer of your choice, for up to 10 MRDP members. Worthy recipients are selected from applications & letter of support from your trainer.

Q. Will Maynard's help with the cost of tack?

A. Maynard's will provide 50 MRDP members with a FREE quilted saddle pad with words Maynard's Developing Rider Program. Also, Maynard's will give you a 20% discount on all Maynards RDP selected quality tack at all times, at both Southlands and Cloverdale stores.

Q. Will my Trainer benefit from this programme?

A. Yes. By having a student selected for the Maynard's RDP they receive compensation for lessons. AND, they will receive a beautiful designer waterproof lined Bomber jacket with Maynard's RDP label (first 12 trainers to have a student selected, only one student per trainer).

A. Yes. And give priority entry to clinics to MRDP members.

Q. Is there an age limit?

A. No!! All amateur riders age 14 and up are eligible.

Q. What are the attributes of a MRDP Candidate?

A. You must be identified by a full time Riding Instructor as being in the top 10% of their students for: Dedication, Enthusiasm, Sportsmanship, Attention to Detail, Empathy for Animals, & Performance and Results at English Riding Competitions at any level.
